the call of the void.

"We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
by sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
'till human voices wake us, and we drown."

I’m constantly fascinated by how small human life is.
How small one life is in comparison to everything else
But how that one life-
That one drop in an ocean-
Has such an effect on all it touches.

When someone dies,
No matter how close you were to them
No matter if you’d only seen them on the street,
It touches you.
Maybe not you
But it does for me.

I often watch movies where minor characters
Characters who don’t even have a name in the credits
Are killed off.
And I always think,
“that person had a family
And friends.
And now they break all those hearts
Simply by not being.”

Obviously,
I over analyze too much useless shit.
But have you ever really stopped to think,
“I’m tiny and in the scheme of the universe,
I really don’t matter.
But right now,
I’ve got so many people
That are legitimate reasons
For me to be.”

And with this thought
I exist.
